The film is about Dr. Siddharth Sinha (Amitabh Bachchan) and his son Dr. Akash Sinha (Anil Kapoor). Both work in the same hospital founded earlier by Siddharth. Siddharth wishes to run a state of the art hospital but his work and profession meant he dedicates his time and attention to his patients. Soon after this Dr. Neha Sharma (Gracy Singh) walks into Akash's life and they both eventually fall in love. Later the arrival of Sonia Kapoor (Preity Zinta) changes everything between Akash and Neha. Sonia is rude and arrogant rich woman who is used to get anything with the power of her money. So when she realizes her love for Akash she even wants to buy him through a financial marriage agreement. So as a result to that Neha and Akash part ways and lead to more complications.
