  • The documentary takes one through the life of Dhundiraj Govind Pahlke, popularly known as Dadasaheb Phalke. Born on 30 April 1870 in Trimbakeshwar, he became the Father of Indian Cinema. He was a producer, director & screenwriter. His contributions to the Indian cinema are incredible. His debut film, Raja Harishchandra, was the first Indian full length movie. In his honor, Government of India named the most prestigious award in Indian Cinema, ' Dadasaheb Phalke Awards' for lifetime contribution to Indian Cinema. It is one of the greatest achievements and the few people honored with it are Lata Mageshkar, Raj Kapoor, Prithviraj Kapoor, Devika Rani, Dilip Kumar and Hrishikesh Mukerjee.
