Richie Watson is a 7 year old boy who innocently stares at a tantalizing Apple Pie, where his craving reaches such an extent that he tries to reach out to it without any money to buy it. He gets thrown out of the shop and grief stricken Richie sits bedside a pole, watching the Patisserie shop. His attention suddenly goes to an old man who is struggling to collect the items that have fallen from his bag. The old man's wallet pulls Richie toward itself, and Richie offers his help to the man to get to his wallet. But when Richie sees the photograph of a little child in the wallet he understands that the old man is someone's grandfather and his conscience forces him to return the wallet. Richie is again money less, and hope less as well; he starts playing an empty bottle to distract himself from the growing desire for the Apple Pie. He unknowingly starts making rhythmic sounds using the bottle. This gives him an idea, and he searches for several other things from the bin. Richie unknowingly composes a beautiful rhythm out of some useless things he had collected, and soon people start throwing money for the street act. He happily runs toward the shop with a pile of money, but the Apple Pie is missing in the shop; the shopkeeper recognizes him, however, leaves after seeing the money in Richie's hand. Richie turns around to leave with a heavy heart but just then the shopkeeper shouts 'Do you want it or not?', and the question brings a smile to his innocent face.
