Jagannath's (Girish Karnad) family shifts from Bangalore to Mumbai where they meet police commissioner Yashwant Sinha (Om Puri), who is a nightmare to the local mafia groups. Jagannath's son Raam meets Pratap who has opposed to dirty politics during their college days.
