Description
- Benkiya Bale is based on the novel of the same name, written by one of the most popular novelist Ta Ra Su (T. R. Subba Rao). This is a story about a beautiful and poor girl, Rukmini (Lakshmi). A rich old man wants to marry her. But when Rukmini's father disagrees for this, he starts spreading ill rumours about her to stop her from getting married. She even tries to kill herself because of this humiliation. Finally, she gets married to a poor primary school teacher Narasimhamurthy (Ananth Nag). The couple lives happily until a rich villager, who wants his brother-in-law to work in as a school teacher in place of Narsimhamurthy, tries to transfer him. Out of fortune and hopes, will the poor couple survive?
