Kaam Ka Plot is a dramatic thriller set against the backdrop of the recent recession in India. Dashrath Srivastava (Ranvir Shorey) is a 36-year old marketing graduate, married and a father. Every morning he dresses up, packs his lunch and leaves for work. The only problem is that Dashrath has no job and Dashrath's wife is clueless about his unemployment. One day he crosses paths with the edgy, risk-taking photographer Annie (Sandhya Mridul) and what starts off as a budding romance between Annie and Dashrath quickly turns into something a lot more sinister. Soon the simple and honest Dashrath is sucked into a downward spiral of stealing, drugs and even a murder.
