Description

  • Fisherman Achootty (Mammootty) has always fulfilled his fatherly responsibilities and taken proper care of his motherless daughter, Radha (Mathu). Uneducated Achootty wants his daughter to be educated. Achootty desires to make her a doctor, but all his dreams shatter when she falls in love with her childhood friend and a fisherman, Raghavan (Asokan). Since Achootty never liked Raghavan, Radha and Raghavan elope and get married. Poor Achootty falls in a pond of grief when he gets to know about his daughter's marriage. One day Achootty gets drunk and insults Raghavan and his father in front of the villagers. Moreover, he challenges Raghavan to go to the deep sea and catch an enormous fish so that he can prove himself worthy of Achootty's daughter. Next morning, Raghavan goes deep into the sea to catch a shark but does not return. Kochu Raman (Murali), Raghavan's father and the villagers think that Achootty killed him since Achootty also went to the sea on that day. Having nothing to lose, Achootty decides to go to the sea in search of his son-in-law. Will Achootty find Raghavan and prove his innocence?
