Description
- Appukuttan Nair (Mohanlal) is an unemployed youth, who is running around to save his financially struggling family. In this pursuit he meets his childhood friend Nooruddin (Sreenivasan) who works at his uncle's juice shop. Both Appukuttan and Nooruddin trick uncle of 1 lakh rupees to obtain a bank loan, but get rejected. Leaving for home dejected, Appukuttan saves the wealthy Chandra (Sukanya), an accident victim, and takes her to the hospital where the doctor and the family mistake him to be Alphy, Chandra's husband. Irruvikuttan (Innocent) discovers the truth about Appukuttan but asks him to continue the drama till the tension passes off. But Appukuttan uses this situation for his own family's benefit, when comes Lekha (Pooja Batra), Irruvikuttan's daughter and Chandra's friend, into the picture. Lekha and some of the family members get suspicious about Appukuttan's identity and keep an eye on him. Meanwhile Appukuttan is followed by the money lenders and Nooruddin's uncle to whom Appukuttan is indebted to. Will Lekha find the truth about Appukuttan? Will the actual Alphy ever appear?
