Mr. Jethia is the proprietor of a jute mill. He is a dishonest person and has high connections which he uses to his advantage. There is a strike in his mill and the workers are agitated with the help of their trade union leader Jadunath (Om Puri), a man with political leanings. Jethia tries to break their unity and he strategises to suppress Jadunath. He sends some criminals to the slums and gets men murdered. Jadunath is implicated in the murder of Jethia's brother and a Manager and he is imprisoned and sentenced to be hanged. In jail, Jadunath desires to donate his eyes to a worker but Jethia's only son who suffered from blindness is in line to get his eyes. What happens next?
