Pravanjan Haldar (Anup Kumar) was a professional matchmaker. He and his uncle Bhombal (Robi Ghosh) did this business together. One day Niladri's (Partho Mukherjee) grandfather called Bhombal and asked him to find a perfect match for his grandson. Subhra (Mahua Roy) a modern, young girl decided to marry an old man. All her friends and other associates protested against such a decision but Subhra stuck to her words. Later, she met Niladri and they started to like each other from that very moment. Within few days, their relation became deeper and they wanted to start their life together.
